Alone

In my room I am alone
The world is blind
Its mouth is sewn
Its ears are plugged
I hear it whine
While it gets mugged
By the human swine

If you think about the universe
It makes you feel small
You never think about
The world’s problems at all
Global warming
People want to fight
Smoking cigarettes
And animal rights

The world wants to change
It has drastic reactions
The earth’s dilemmas
Are people’s distractions.
People want to kill
Wars increase
The boats leak oil
The people drink

I cry in shame
My heart is sore
I close my eyes
I am done waiting for
Change to come
For people to know
By myself
I stand alone.
